About us

History

VALTI is one of the last French manufacturers of seamless tubes, with over 55 years of experience.
Founded in 1967, a former subsidiary of the VALLOUREC group, VALTI is now present internationally with more than 60% of its sales made outside France.

As of June 2022, Vallourec Bearing Tubes (VALTI) has left the Vallourec group and has been acquired by Mutares SE & Co KGaA, a German industrial holding.

At the beginning of 2024, the current Chairman François MARTIN took over VALTI and continues the strategy initiated in June 2022 to make VALTI the leading European player in precision tubes.

VALTI benefited from a capital increase carried out by Mutares as part of the sale to allow the continuation of the actions undertaken.

In 2008, VALTI joined the Metal Valley association, which has the following missions:

To contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of the Montbard and Venarey-Les Laumes basin.
To support the industrialists of the area in their actions to promote the area and its trades, with the aim of encouraging the appointment of new employees.
To promote metallurgy professions as well as training around these professions.

VALTI was renamed VBT
VALTI was renamed VBT (Vallourec Bearing Tubes) in 2013.

Acquisition by MUTARES
Vallourec Bearing Tubes left the Vallourec group and was acquired by Mutares SE & Co. KGaA
2024
Acquisition by François MARTIN
Mutares sold VALTI which was taken over by the current President François MARTIN

Who are we?

VALTI manufactures high precision seamless tubes for various industries worldwide, including:

Rolling industry: hot rolled tubes, cold rolled tubes for cuts, slugs, etc.
Mechanical engineering: seamless tubes and hollow bars.
Oil and gas industry: heavy drill pipes, drill barrels and oilfield accessories.

These tubes have finished dimensions with strict tolerances as close as possible to those stipulated by our customers with the advantage of cost reduction.

Suitable for all types of automotive and mechanical applications, our seamless, hot-rolled and cold-rolled, high-precision tubing meets the exacting standards of our customers who rely on our production facilities to supply their products.

Our traditional bearing tubes are available in a variety of heat treatments and finishes, with tight tolerances and good “machinability.”

In addition, the supply chain is fully adaptable to any specific needs and requirements, in terms of size orders and logistic solutions.
